by Alicia, I Love This Camera!, September 10, 2011 canon rebel t1i 5 stars

I’ve been saving up for this camera for awhile now. I just love the features, but I don’t recommend this camera for beginners. I am a beginner myself, and I think that starters should take classes if you want to learn more efficiently. The shutter speed of Canon Rebel T1i camera is just amazing and people seem to love the outcome of the picture quality. Although it is quite heavy, I just think it’s worth it. I hope my opinion helps. Best of luck!~

by JT (down south) A sweet DSLR, September 1, 2011 canon rebel t1i 5 stars

First, I’ve had the Canon Rebel T1i about 16 months and recently she went between myself and my ex husband when I was bitten by the Nikon bug. Well that didn’t last. Nikon makes great cameras no doubt, but once you shoot Canon you keep coming back to what feels right.
I bought the Nikon D5100 because many of my college friends, I’m a returning student majoring in photography, were shooting with Nikon and I thought I was missing something. I was wrong. my Canon Rebel T1i is just fine and shoots both photo and video like a dream. I know the D5100 is newer and different, but the button placement is awful. It has an articlutaing screen just as the T3i does and yet, Canon put all the most accessed buttons right where they belong on the back of the camera, the D5100 has those same features buried in the menu. Bad move on thier part, becuase by the time you change the settings you no doubt lost the ‘perfect’ shot. The button layout is the same on the Canon Rebel T1i as well and manipulation for this camera is fantastic and the images are spot on. I’m sorry to compare three different cameras and I don’t mean to confuse anyone, but I only have the T1i, although I’ve shot with the T3i as well.
Would I leave Canon again to buy the latest competitor? Doubtful, after realizing my T1i has everything I need. I’m looking to upgrade and the T31 or 60D. You can’t go wrong with Canon and I’m glad I had to leave then come back to find that out.
